Rock Mill Beta Night

Ever wondered about the wild maps around the gym? Ruff Guide Maps, created by longtime Rock Mill member Jeff Bonatti, grew from his early days adventuring—before gyms, apps, or guidebooks were on the scene.

Jeff will be sharing his stories on Thursday, May 22 at our next Beta Night. Join us at 6 for Happy Hour and 6:30 for Story Hour! He’ll dive into how creating Ruff Guide Maps and exploring NEO’s wilderness has fueled his commitment to conservation—and how you can be an unofficial ambassador for outdoor recreation.

FAQs

Still need help? Give us a call and our front desk staff will be happy to help.

What is bouldering?

Bouldering is rock climbing on relatively short walls without the use of ropes or harnesses.

I really don't need equipment?

You will only need climbing shoes! We rent shoes for $5 and also have shoes for sale.

What should I wear?

Wear comfortable clothes you can move around in. For safety and hygiene reasons, we ask that everyone wears a shirt while climbing and exercising.

Do I need to have any prior experience?

Not at all, that's what's so great about bouldering. Other than watching the orientation video and following the rules of the gym, you can walk right in and start climbing!

Anything I need to do before I come in for my first visit?

No! But if you want to save some time, you can watch the orientation video and sign your waiver ahead of time by clicking here.
